The Dawn of Aegon’s Reign
Aegon Targaryen, freshly crowned in Oldtown after forging the Seven Kingdoms into one by fire and submission, begins his rule with the realm still restless beneath his feet. Though armies have bent the knee, the hearts of men do not all bow so easily.
The Vale of Arryn
Rebellion stirs almost immediately. Upon the Three Sisters, Lady Marla Sunderland proclaims herself Queen and the islands independent of both Arryn and Targaryen rule. Her defiance lasts only long enough for the sky to darken with wings.
Queen Visenya Targaryen arrives astride Vhagar, joined by a Northern fleet under Ser Warrick Manderly. Dragonfire and Northern blades end the uprising swiftly. Marla Sunderland is betrayed by her own subjects, deposed, and turned over to the Crown. Her brother Steffon bends the knee, restoring the Sisters to House Arryn’s authority and the Iron Throne’s peace.
The Reach
In Oldtown, joy and sorrow walk hand-in-hand. Lord Manfred Hightower celebrates the birth of his first daughter, Lady XX, with Floris Hightower née Rowan. But the bells of celebration soon toll as funeral chimes, Lady Hightower succumbs to childbed fever mere days later.
Rumors coil like smoke around the Hightower when Manfred remarries with suspicious haste. His new bride, Lady XX Hightower née Redwyne, is whispered to have been his lover long before tragedy cleared the path.
The Stormlands
Far across the storm lashed coasts, Storm’s End welcomes another Baratheon Lordling. Lord Raymont, second son of Lord Baratheon and Argella Baratheon née Durrandon is born adding another branch to the newly created House.

The second year after the Conquest brings growing pains, rivalries, and shifting allegiances as the realm learns what it means to live beneath a Dragons rule.
The Reach
The new Lady of Oldtown, XX Hightower née Redwyne, gives birth to Lady Ceryse, an event that reignites talk of infidelity. Some claim the girl’s timely arrival is proof of an affair begun long before Lady Floris’ death; others dismiss it as gossip. Truth or slander, the rumors stick like burrs to the Hightower name.
Elsewhere in the Reach, another joy: Lord Addam Hightower and Lady Melara née Florent welcome their daughter, Lady Patrice, strengthening ties between Oldtown and Brightwater Keep.
The Iron Islands
With Harren the Black fallen and House Hoare shattered, the Ironborn descend into chaotic squabbling. Dozens of captains declare themselves rightful rulers. Aegon flies West once more, and only the Black Dread’s shadow persuades the captains to choose a leader.
Lord Vickon Greyjoy is named ruler of the Ironborn,chosen by salt and iron tradition, confirmed by the Iron Throne.
But not all Ironborn bend so easily. Lord Qhorin Volmark, claiming the dark legacy of the Hoares, raises his banners in rebellion. His defiance ends swiftly. Aegon cuts him down personally, extinguishing his line, almost.
Only days before, Lady Alannys Volmark née Harlaw had borne a son, Lord XY Volmark. The Conqueror, moved by mercy or calculation, spares the infant. Lady Alannys becomes Regent, ruling grim Old Volmark in her son’s name.
