The Crownlands
The birth of King Aegon’s second son, Daerion, through Queen Visenya brings joy to King’s Landing after a time shadowed by grief. Celebrations are held throughout the city, with bells ringing from the Red Keep to the farthest streets.
A tourney is held in the newly born Prince’s honor, with Arstan Selmy winning the day.
Robin Darklyn was born to Lord Rolland Darklyn and his wife, Lady Kiara Darklyn née Celtigar. His birth was recorded at Duskendale with due observance, bringing further joy to House Darklyn and strengthening the line descended from the Dun Fort.
Jonquil Darke was born out of wedlock to Lord Darklyn and a woman whose name was never entered into the records. Her birth gave rise to quiet scandal within Duskendale, for it was known that Lord Darklyn acknowledged the child rather than sending her away or consigning her to obscurity.
From her earliest days, Jonquil was taken into her father’s household and raised alongside his lawful children, a choice remarked upon by many within the Dun Fort and beyond. In further departure from custom, she was given the name Darke rather than Waters, and in time was granted a small household of her own at her father’s command.
Though her birth lay outside the laws of marriage, Jonquil Darke was never treated as one cast aside, and her place within House Darklyn, while unconventional, was firmly secured by her father’s will.
The North
Lord XY of House Bolton is born to Lord XY Bolton and Lady Mira Bolton née Hornwood, the firstborn son, heralding the coming winter.
The Reach
Lord XY of House Redwyne is born to Lord XY Redwyne and Lady Elina Redwyne née Osgrey, the firstborn son; the Arbor rejoices with a special winter berry wine bottled in his honor.
Wyl of Wyl attacks the wedding of Ser Jon Cafferen and Lady Alys Oakheart, bringing ruin and horror: the groom is castrated, the bride and her handmaids violated by Wyl and all of his men. Later they are sold into slavery. Lord Oakheart, father of Lady Alys, is murdered along with most of his guests.
Later, with the aid of House Redwyne and the Crown the new Lord Oakheart tracks down the kidnapped women in Lys and returns them to their families. The Crown pays the coin to see them purchased from those who own them.
The Riverlands
Lady XX of House Tully is born to Lord Edmyn Tully and Lady Ariyana Tully née Blackwood.
Lord XY of House Frey is born to Lord XY Frey and Lady Deana Frey née Erenford.
The Stormlands
Lord XY of House Tarth is born to Lord XY Tarth and Lady XX Tarth née Selmy, the firstborn son of the house, bringing joy to the Stormlands.
Lady XX of House Selmy is born to Lord XY Selmy and Lady Sylva Selmy née Estermont, the first child of her house.
The Westerlands
Lord XY of House Lannister is born to Lord Loren Lannister and Lady XX Lannister née Brax, the firstborn son of Loren is celebrated throughout the Westerlands. King Aegon and Queen Visenya attend a tourney in his honor.
Queen Visenya is noted as having spent a significant amount of time with the Lady Lannister and most assume she is merely offering the woman strength and encouragement as the birth of her son had been particularly difficult.
Though older and many claimed feeble, Lord Rupert Brax wins the day to the astonishment of all watching. Queen Visenya delighted by his prowess bestows upon him one of her most prized rings, forged in the fires of Valyria the ring sports a ruby that catches the light strangely making it appear that flames have been trapped within it’s heart.
Lord XY of House Brax is born to Lord Robert Brax and Lady Lynore Brax née Parren. Sadly, the Lady passes into the arms of the Stranger before dawn due to complications in childbirth she simply lost too much blood.
Dorne
Far to the south, Dorne suffers under famine and blight. There are stirrings in the mountains…rumor spreads that the Vulture King has risen
A mild winter begins, touching all corners of the Seven Kingdoms, even Dorne can feel the touch of winter.

The Crownlands
Princess Meria Martell of Dorne dies, and with her passing the long, bloody Dornish War at last begins to unspool. Her son, Prince Nymor Martell, sends his daughter Deria to King’s Landing bearing two things: a sealed letter and the skull of Meraxes.
Whatever words were written behind that seal strike harder than dragonfire. King Aegon, who had burned a kingdom for vengeance, lays down his wrath. A peace treaty is signed, ending nine years of brutal, bitter war.
The Reach
Lady Alys Oakheart bears a bastard son. She insists the father was her husband, Ser Jon… yet few believe it. Their marriage was never consummated and Ser Jon died of his wounds soon after. She is however insistent. Whatever truth lies buried, the Stranger keeps it now.

XX Darklyn was born to Lord Rolland Darklyn and his wife, Lady Kiara Darklyn née Celtigar, the first daughter born of their union. Her birth was duly recorded at Duskendale and marked with quiet celebration, as House Darklyn welcomed its first girl into the line of the Dun Fort.
The Iron Islands
In the Iron Islands, Lady Amarei Blacktyde née Farwynd gives birth to a daughter. Only weeks later she is seen rowing alone into a storm, clutching a bundled infant. Many fear she means to offer her babe to the Drowned God. Instead, the child is found alive, tucked safely in a drawer of all things. Her four-year-old brother nearly maims a servant defending her, tiny hands clutching a knife with all the fury of a young kraken.
The Riverlands
A daughter of House Tully is born – another branch in a great and growing river. Lady Ariyana Tully née Blackwood bears another daughter.
At the Twins, Lady Deana Frey née Erenford does the same Lady XX of House Frey is born to Lord and Lady Frey.
The Westerlands
In the Westerlands, tragedy strikes swiftly. While training with his son, Lord Robert Brax clutches his chest and collapses. By the time the maester arrives, he has gone to the Stranger’s hall.
