Improvement Points

Represent long term character growth and major investments. They are used to improve character abilities, adjust advantages and disadvantages and strengthen a character’s House.

Earning IP

Characters earn (1) IP per week in which they participate in a confirmable RP scene.

Additional IP may be awarded by staff for special events, major involvement or event rewards.

Spending IP

Attributes
Spend (10) IP to increase a single attribute by (1).
Attributes may not be raised above (7) through IP alone, though advantages or bonuses may push rolls higher.

Advantages & Disadvantages
Spend (10) IP to gain a new Advantage. This does require staff approval.
Spend (10) IP to remove a Disadvantage, with appropriate roleplay justification.

House Investment
Spend (10) IP to increase your house’s Wealth by one level, representing sustained effort, investment, or influence.

Free Points

Are the points entered directly onto your Character Sheet to raise skill values.

IP is converted into FP before being applied to skills.

Players do not earn FP directly. All advancement flows through Improvement Points. This ensures character growth remains earned, paced and moderated.

Trophies

Represent significant gains acquired through war, conquest, or major commerce and must be narratively justified.

Trophies may include:
Seized wealth, valuables, or servants
Captured equipment or supplies
Improvements to existing units through salvaged or seized resources
Captured enemy units

Captured units become base units of their type, without upgrades. Veteran soldiers are rarely the ones taken. What remains are the inexperienced, disloyal or easily swayed.

Additional trophies may later be spent to improve these units.

Trophies may also be banked.
(20) Trophies may be exchanged to raise a house’s Wealth by one level.

Tracking & Records

All Character Advancement is tracked through the in world HUD, official Character Sheets and Story Requests.

IP spending, FP conversion and Trophy use are all submitted and approved via SRs.

Approved changes are then reflected on the character sheet and where applicable, House records.

This process ensures all advancement is documented, reviewed and consistent across the system.

Players are responsible for keeping their character sheets current after approval. Staff may review records at any time.
